De Val, son of the renowned film distributor Luis de Val (Manga Films), began his career in the world of cinema as a producer. With the intention of avoiding family comparisons, he decided to bet on production with the film FBI: Geeks Looking to Bother. Although he considers the film his most profitable film to date, with a low budget and a sale of 300,000 DVDs, he acknowledges that he started at the bottom.
The 2010 crisis made him return to work with his father in film distribution. It was then that he unknowingly discovered the potential of influencers: it occurred to him to hire the youtuber AuronPlay to dub a character, and with two sentences he will attract more than 4,000 spectators to the Girona Cinemas to see a French comedy. This phenomenon was the key to his entrepreneurial project that he founded in 2015 and with which he has achieved success, the You Planet agency.
