The co-founder and CEO of Pangea Propulsion and winner of the XXXIII Premi Jove Empresari took part in AIJEC’s Dinar de Futur

Barcelona, 7 October 2026.- AIJEC held a new edition of its Dinar de Futur this Tuesday, 6 October, featuring Adrià Argemí, co-founder and CEO of Pangea Propulsion and winner of the XXXIII Premi Jove Empresari awarded by AIJEC.

During the event, held at the Eurostars Grand Marina in Barcelona, Argemí shared with AIJEC members Pangea Propulsion’s growth journey, the challenges involved in scaling a high-value technology company from Catalonia, and the opportunities offered by the development of the European space industry.

Founded in Barcelona, Pangea Propulsion specialises in the development of advanced space propulsion systems for launchers, satellites and spacecraft. The company is committed to developing proprietary technology and making space missions more efficient, competitive and sustainable.

A Catalan project with international ambitions

Argemí explained Pangea Propulsion’s growth process and its ambition to become a leading player in Europe’s New Space sector.

The company is currently undergoing an industrial expansion phase. This summer, it inaugurated a new 1,000-square-metre facility in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, where it plans to invest seven million euros over the next three years to strengthen its manufacturing and integration capabilities for space propulsion systems.

During the Dinar de Futur, Argemí also shared his vision of the future of the space sector, the need to build a more competitive European space industry, and the importance of having the capital and infrastructure required to enable technology companies to scale from Europe.

Pangea prepares for a new phase of growth

The meeting coincided with the announcement that Pangea Propulsion is planning a new expansion of its facilities at the engine testing centre in Alguaire. The company is considering an investment of between €20 million and €30 million to expand the infrastructure and further increase its capacity to develop and test space engines.

The project reinforces Pangea’s commitment to establishing Catalonia as a leading hub for the European space industry and highlights the ability of Catalan technology companies to develop projects with global ambitions.

A Premi Jove Empresari connecting talent and business

Adrià Argemí received the XXXIII Premi Jove Empresari on 14 September at the Palau de la Música Catalana, in recognition of his entrepreneurial track record and Pangea Propulsion’s ability to develop proprietary technology in a strategic sector such as the space industry.

With this Dinar de Futur, AIJEC continues to provide its members with opportunities to meet entrepreneurs leading transformative projects and representing the new generation of Catalan business leaders.
