The Executive Committee of AIJEC, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Catalonia, announced this Wednesday the call for general elections for July 9. The members of the entity will vote for who will lead AIJEC for the next 3 years in elections that are framed within the General Assembly, the sovereign body of the association and which is made up of all full members at the time of its celebration.

The Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Catalonia is represented by an Executive Committee, elected by full members every three years and with a term limit of two legislative terms. The Committee together with the presidents of the delegations make up the Board of Directors.

The current president of AIJEC, Ruben Sans, and his board are closing a 5-year period at the head of the entity in which the presence of AIJEC in international organizations and events has multiplied, such as Yes For Europe, FIJE or the G20, among others.

Sans was elected on March 11, 2020, just 3 days before the state of alarm for Covid broke out. During this period, the organization has consolidated itself as a reference within the entrepreneurial ecosystem and has consolidated its financial stability with positive economic results and the creation of economic reserves that guarantee future growth.

As is tradition at AIJEC, the outgoing board proposes a continuationist candidacy, a tradition that has been maintained for the last 40 years. This candidacy is headed by the entrepreneur in the information technology sector, Vicenç del Mar Mullor. Del Mar is the current treasurer of AIJEC and has been linked to the management bodies of the entity for 7 years.
