AIJEC is looking for the best young entrepreneur of the year

The Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Catalonia (AIJEC) opened the application period for the Young Entrepreneur Award this Wednesday. The organization is seeking the young entrepreneur who best represents the new visions and values ​​of the business world. “True to the spirit that has driven the AIJEC for 40 years, we continue to consolidate it to strengthen ties, promote young entrepreneurship, and open up new opportunities,” asserts Ruben Sans, president of the association. The entry period will run until June 27, and the jury will consider aspects such as the consolidation of the initial business idea, economic viability, entrepreneurial spirit, personal trajectory, innovation, international vision, and future challenges.

The Young Entrepreneur Award reaches its 32nd edition, consolidated as one of the most prestigious recognitions of entrepreneurship held in Catalonia. For Estefania González Campins, vice president of AIJEC, “the true importance of these awards lies in fostering the attitude of young entrepreneurs as people who are a source of entrepreneurial inspiration.” The Young Entrepreneur Award recognizes the work, effort, and perseverance of the young Catalan business community, capable of generating jobs and promote business projects.

The benchmark awards for entrepreneurship in Catalonia

In addition to the Young Entrepreneur Award, all entrepreneurs of Spanish nationality or foreigners residing in Catalonia, aged between 18 and 45, who develop their business activity in the region, are also eligible for the Best Business Initiative Award, which recognizes the most innovative business idea with future prospects; the Blue Entrepreneurship Award, for the best project or one that promotes sustainability, innovation, the economy, equality, diversity, and any other value of public interest related to the blue economy; the Social Entrepreneurship Award, for companies with a social purpose; and the Business Linguistic Quality Award, for positively promoting the use of the Catalan language in business as a tool for qualitative improvement.

During the Young Entrepreneur Award ceremony, which will take place in the fall, the AIJEC will also present the Best Business Career Award, an award given annually to an experienced entrepreneur. and an already established business project; and the Future Entrepreneurship Recognition, to recognize an entrepreneurial project developed by students under 18 years of age.

From all the applications received, the AIJEC will select three finalists, and the winner will be chosen by a jury made up of representatives from the country’s leading public and private institutions working in support of business, as well as various media outlets.
