The administrator of Grup Sorli and founder of sustainable fashion brand SOMIA shared her business journey and insights into leadership and entrepreneurship with AIJEC members.
Barcelona, October 2026.- AIJEC held a new edition of its Dinar d’Experiència featuring Anna Sorli, administrator of Grup Sorli, president of Fundació Sorli and founder of sustainable fashion brand SOMIA.
During the gathering, Anna Sorli shared her experience leading a century-old family business, as well as the challenges of leading, transforming and growing a business while preserving its values and identity.
Leadership, heritage and business transformation
Anna Sorli is part of the third generation of the family behind Grup Sorli, a company founded in Barcelona in 1923. With more than 30 years of experience within the business, she has played a key role in the group’s modernisation and transformation.
Under her leadership, the company has evolved and expanded its business offering while maintaining its strong local roots and the family values that have defined it since its beginnings.
Entrepreneurship beyond the family business
Alongside her responsibilities at Grup Sorli, Anna Sorli has also developed her own entrepreneurial project, SOMIA, a sustainable, ethical and locally produced womenswear brand inspired by her passion for design.
The brand focuses on local production, quality and long-lasting garments, working with foundations and workshops that promote employment opportunities for vulnerable people and people with different abilities.
This entrepreneurial venture reflects an approach to business in which innovation, social responsibility and consistency with one’s values play a fundamental role.
