Artificial intelligence was the star of the Dinars de Futur in February with Pau Garcia-Mila, co-founder of Founderz. In a conversation led by Maria Josep Prats, the entrepreneur reflected on the revolution that the emergence of AI has brought about.
“When I started, the internet was for four geeks. We had a great time… and now with AI I’ve got excited again.” With this phrase he started a conversation that transported attendees directly to the .com era, when starting a business was almost an act of faith, and then placed them squarely in the new technological revolution: artificial intelligence.
In a dialogue that combined career, humor and strategic vision, Garcia-Milà shared an idea that captivated the audience: “The approach we have to AI is wrong: we have to measure speed, not power.” The entrepreneur emphasized that it is not only what AI can do —already surprising every day—, but also the speed with which it is transforming entire sectors and the implications that this has for business management. A strategic and uncomfortably realistic reflection.
He also focused on the future of the labor market when he referred to the younger generations: “It makes me dizzy to think that the alpha generation, my children’s, will be the first to reach a labor market where AI will do any task better than them.” This reflection made the conversation transcend the business sphere to address issues of education and preparation for technological changes.
Strategies for growing with technology
Among anecdotes about the first technological bubble, myths debunked and practical advice for approaching AI from a business management perspective, the meeting emphasized the need to adopt a strategic, realistic vision oriented towards shared growth.
Without focusing on technicalities, Garcia-Milà invited attendees to understand AI as an ally with whom to grow and innovate, rather than as a competitor. The challenge, as he himself stated, is not to beat AI, but to grow with it.
A meeting that once again demonstrates that the #DinarsdeFutur are spaces for conversation that combine experience, vision and community, reaffirming the AIJEC mission of connecting young entrepreneurs with the big questions that define the future of the business world.
