AIJEC reinforces the influence of young entrepreneurs before administrations and social agents in a year marked by Covid-19

Assemblea 2021

AIJEC Joves Empresaris held its annual assembly this Wednesday night to take stock of the work carried out over the last year, marked by the covid-19 crisis. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, the entity makes a positive assessment of the actions carried out with the aim of accompanying companies to overcome this crisis with dynamism and drive.

In this sense, AIJEC Joves Empresaris has taken the opportunity to modernize and digitize its structure and to increase its business influence by reinforcing its role as a lobbyist before administrations and social agents.

The president of AIJEC, Rubén Sans, explains that during the pandemic the “continuous dialogue with partners” has been reinforced, informing of all legal changes, decrees and economic updates derived from the state of alarm. “Vital initiatives for business” have also been called for, such as the postponement of tax increases, the implementation of ERTOS, direct aid to companies or the need for stability and legal certainty to favor the creation of companies and employment . AIJEC has also advised companies on European funds and has set up a financing office within the state framework with the Spanish Confederation of Associations of Young Entrepreneurs (CEAJE).

All in all, AIJEC has brought the voice of young entrepreneurs to more than 32 employer events, appearances in the Parliament of Catalonia and in the committees of the CEOE, CEPYME, CEAJE, Foment del Treball and Fepime at a decisive moment for many companies. The entity has also recovered and strengthened dialogue with other business associations such as CECOT, PIMEC, La Cámara, BCN Activa, Techcity, TalentHub or Netmentora.

The clean-up of balance sheets and the consolidation and international impact of the Young Entrepreneur Award were other topics present at the assembly. “The pandemic has become an opportunity to reinforce our purpose or reason for being: create a community, support entrepreneurial talent and the companies that arrive,” says Sans.
