A delegation of AIJEC Young Entrepreneurs led by its president Ruben Sans met last July 21 with representatives of Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa to strengthen relations between both institutions. The aim of the council is to take into account the voice of Barcelona’s young entrepreneurs in its employment strategies.
The councilor for Children, Youth and Seniors, Joan Ramon Riera Alemany, and the director of Barcelona Activa, Fèlix Ortega, led the Barcelona City Council delegation that met for more than two hours with AIJEC. During the meeting, the situation of young people in the Catalan capital was discussed and how entrepreneurship can be a way of self-employment and generation of vital employment for the future. The representatives of the council listened to the concerns that were transferred from the entity and both entities set up a new meeting last summer.
